Congratulations to the Bethel University Royals, winners of the 2019-2020 women’s basketball championship in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. We were there this afternoon at a packed Robertson Center, where Bethel eked out the victory over the Augsburg University Auggies, 72-70. Bethel gets the MIAC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division III tournament.
Since Chris Moore and Sam Mulberry were at the game as well, we decided to produce a “live” episode of The 252 for the occasion, with segments recorded before the game, at halftime, and after the Royals cut down the nets. In addition to game analysis, we talked about the significance of events like this for a college community. Thanks to Sam’s son Bengt for adding his expert commentary as a guest host!
