6/30/14 – Having spent the weekend with hundreds of fellow members of the Evangelical Covenant Church at our annual meeting, I’m excited to take up last week’s question of how I’d explain what’s distinctive about our denomination to others. But before I launch that series (probably tomorrow), let me encourage my readers to check out a new group blog, Theoloqui, that features eight women of the ECC. (To mention just two of the eight: Lisa Sharon Harper is probably well known to many of you from her work with Sojourners, and I’ve recommended Michelle Clifton-Soderstrom’s book on Pietist ethics several times on this blog.) They’re planning to work through the Covenant’s six affirmations, one per month, so that’s another great way to get to know the denomination.
