For a long time, it was considered unseemly for American presidential candidates to campaign actively in their own behalf. While that ship has long since sailed, I’m not sure that it’s any more appropriate for authors to clamor for year-end book awards.
However, if you wanted to cast a vote for The Pietist Vision of Christian Higher Education…
Well, I can’t stop you, since enough of you nominated our book that it’s been named one of the finalists for the 2015 InterVarsity Press Readers’ Choice Awards!
We’re in the IVP Academic category, where you can vote for one of five books. Congratulations to fellow nominees Michael Cafferky; David Capes, Rodney Reeves, and Randolph Richards; John Peckham; and Michael Reeves!
The polls close on Sunday, December 6th, so I will encourage you to vote early. But not often: only one vote per IP address.
